The STAY project partners recently held a regular online meeting to review the current progress of project implementation and coordinate the next steps in the development of key project results. The meeting brought together representatives of the partner organisations to exchange updates, clarify upcoming responsibilities, and ensure that all activities continue to move forward in line with the project timeline.
A central point of the meeting was the finalisation of the STAY Handbook, which is currently in its final development phase. Partners discussed the remaining steps needed to complete the publication, including final content checks, layout adjustments, and preparation for translation and dissemination. The Handbook will serve as an important practical resource for youth workers, educators, and organisations working with young people, offering guidance on how to recognise early signs of disengagement and support young people in staying connected to learning, work, and community life.
In addition to the Handbook, partners also began discussing the development of the STAY Risk Scanner. This digital tool will support young people and youth professionals in reflecting on possible signs of disengagement, lack of motivation, role uncertainty, and reduced sense of belonging. During the meeting, partners reviewed the planned structure and content of the Scanner and exchanged ideas on how to make the tool accessible, user-friendly, and relevant for different youth work contexts.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss the demo version of the Scanner and collect first impressions from the partnership. Partners agreed that the next phase will focus on testing the tool, identifying possible technical or content-related improvements, and ensuring that the final version is clear, practical, and useful for both young people and professionals supporting them.
Through regular coordination meetings, the STAY partnership continues to strengthen cooperation and maintain a shared understanding of project goals. The current progress marks an important step toward the completion of the project’s main outputs: the STAY Handbook and the Risk Scanner, both designed to help young people remain engaged, supported, and empowered in their personal, educational, and professional pathways.
More updates about the development of STAY tools and project activities will be shared soon.
